Image Processing

We all have processed images using software like Photoshop and Picasa but have never got to know what goes on behind the scenes. Image Processing is a vast field that covers the analysis and manipulation of an image using mathematical operations. To give our student community an introduction to this field, the EES held a lecture on Image Processing using MATLAB on 20th January,2016. The workshop covered the basic aspects of MATLAB and Image Processing like matrix representation of an image, gray scale, edge detection, applying masks and so on. The workshop witnessed such a huge turnout that it was impossible to accommodate all the attendees. Students were able to get a hands on experience of the power and versatility of MATLAB through this workshop
