Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for oversight of membership applications, welcoming new MAHQ members, and maintaining and increasing membership. Part of increasing MAHQ membership includes the Academia & Student Outreach Program, and other initiatives to grow the membership in size and diversity. The committee also works to build relationships with other state organizations and similarly focused healthcare quality improvement entities.

Education Committee

The Education Committee assesses and responds to the education needs of the MAHQ membership. Throughout the year it promotes the goals and objectives of the organization by creating and announcing educational opportunities provided in various formats, such as webinars, on-demand learning, CPHQ preparation, teaching/training outreach programs, publications and resources, and other learning opportunities, as well as those offered at the Annual Meeting and Conference. The Committee is responsible for the planning and execution of all arrangements for the Annual Meeting and Conference.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee recruits candidates for Board positions, and facilitates the election for open Board positions. The Committee ensures that the nominations for, and election of Officers and Directors of the Board is conducted in accordance with the policy, procedures and by-laws of the organization. MAHQ would not have a Board of Directors if not for the necessary work of the Nominating Committee.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee keep members and others informed through written, electronic, website, social media, marketing, advertising, promotion, and other means of communication.

Advocacy Committee

The Advocacy Committee champions MAHQ and advocates its vision and mission to external stakeholders. It promotes the goals and objectives of the organization through professional, community, legislative, policymaker, and other stakeholder outreach, partnership, and educational initiatives in various formats throughout the year. The committee also works to build relationships with community and legislative entities within the state of Michigan.

Bylaws Committee

The Bylaws Committee works with the Board of Directors’ Executive Committee and the Education Committee to ensure that the Board is establishing and maintaining proper and compliant governance practices, and that the by-laws remain in compliance with the state of the law.
