Layer not visible in Ubuntu

Hi.

Why is Layer via Copy/Cut no visible in Gimp on Ubuntu? I tried to install the plug-in registry but still could not see the plig-in. Is there any intall guide for Ubuntu?

Make sure the plugin is in the right place and is executable.
