Does the rotating brush works with Gimp 2.6

You can create your own gih (gimp image hose; rotating brush), but the auto-rotating feature in 2.8 does not exist in 2.6x. See link below for RobA's rotaing brush Script-fu. Believe there's a python script (GIMP Plugin) that can do this too but too lazy to find it now. :)
