Getting BIMP to run on Gimp 2.8 Ubuntu 12.04.2 AMD64

Hello,

Love BIMP! use it on my machine all the time!
Tried to install it on my wife's machine but can not seem to get it to work...
keep getting a strange error during the

make install

something like can not copy ./bin/bimp to
.gimp-2.8/plug-ins

Are there any other dependencies needed for a 64B system?

is libgimp2.0-dev installed?

Is libgimp2.0-dev installed in your wife's computer?
On a terminal: sudo apt-get install libgimp2.0-dev
