is there a standard workkflow process that I should follow when editing photos. I am only new to GIMP and as a starting point this would be extemely helpful.
I go thru several steps and use more than one program.
www.imagenomic.com
download noiseware community edition. You can adjust settings and it works better than any others I have used so far. It is free.
Going by what I learned from pro's directions, you want to correct your white balance first then color levels if needed and then contrast and sharpen. You will have to play around before you find the filters which work best depending on your camera and the type of photo.
I love the auto contrast script which is why I am here to hunt it down again.
For red eye the best is Faststone Viewer and you can get that free as well. Just go to download.com
