Jazzing it up with Measha

The transition from classical to jazz is no easy feat, but Canadian soprano Measha Brueggergosman makes it look effortless. Her latest album, I've Got a Crush on You, released in 2012, features a collection of contemporary songs including covers from Ron Sexsmith, Cole Porter, Gershwin and Joni Mitchell.

For her performance at Koerner Hall on Thursday, June 26, Measha will be joined by some of the city's best first-call jazz musicians - Aaron Davis (piano), Rob Piltch (guitar), John Johnson (woodwinds), Scott Alexander (bass) and Davide Di Renzo (drums).
