Creating tables

Various methods are available to create tables:

• Function calls such as table create(), table initialize(), etc.
• Loading data into tables, e.g. with table load(), table load excel file(__)
• Copying tables, e.g. with table copy table(), or using other functions which create new tables as output, e.g. directory listing().

The next sections describe the synatax which allows for straightforward and powerful access to table contents, be it simple values, whole (or parts of) rows and columns, or a combination of both (e.g. accessing a matrix from the table).
