Financial Aid for Graduate Study

• Glaxo Wellcome Science Achievement Award - Through a $50,000 grant from Glaxo Wellcome Inc., this award provides a stipend of $3,000 per year for up to four years to UNCF students or former UNCF graduates, pursuing a graduate degree in chemistry or biology. (1994)
• The UNCF/Merck Science Initiative - This $20 million program is funded by the Merck Company Foundation and is dedicated to expanding the pool of African-American biomedical scientist. Awards are provided annually at the undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral levels. The program also provides for institutional support through grants to science departments of award recipients. • UNCF/U.S. Healthcare Scholarship - This $100,000 gift provides five four-year scholarships to cover medical school expenses for UNCF students. (1994)
