The back I/O panel is how all the peripherals of the system will connect the motherboard. There are a
bunch of USB slots on the back of the motherboard as that is how most peripherals connect to the motherboard
such as the: mouse, keyboard, microphone, external hard drives, cameras, etc. If the motherboard has an on-board
graphics capabilities, it will also have common display connections on its back-panel as well, such as:
DVI, VGA, HDMI, and DP. If there is a on-board network card, the back-panel will also have an ethernet port.
Last, you will find audio output connections which you will only use if you have a stereo system you want to
connect to your computer.
